Georgia is 6 weeks old!

Georgia turned 6 weeks old on Father's Day. To celebrate, we did a mini-family shoot with Chad and Sara.

A family friend also sent Georgia her very first package in the mail. She had knitted her a beautiful white afghan. I couldn't resist taking a few pictures of Georgia all wrapped up in it.

Relaxing on the Frio

After moving into our new home, we quickly turned around, loaded up the truck (and it was fully loaded down) and took the girls to see the beautiful Frio River. We spent a 7 wonderful days enjoying the beautiful scenary and quiet time with our family. Pa-paw and Uncle K-K were there with us and Nana Jan and Grandpa even joined us for a few nights.

On Sunday, Georgia turned 5 weeks old. What a great first vacation! She loved the outdoors.

Sara also experienced many firsts. She made s'mores with Mommy and Daddy. At first, she wasn't sure about the fire but after she got a taste, she kept saying "s'more please" :-)

Yum!
Sara also danced the night away at the Garner State Park family dance. She loved being out there on the dance floor and danced pretty much every song. Sometimes she demanded a solo dance and other times she would look for a partner. She was the cutest little girl out there.

And, finally, she went fishing for the first time. Daddy and Sara caught several fish each day they were out there.

All in all, it was a great trip and we can't wait to do it again next year!

Yay! We've rejoined the 21st century!

After two weeks, we've finally restored internet, cable and phone! I can now update the blog. Be prepared for a few new posts.

Take care!

Little Georgia is 4 Weeks Old!!

Georgia Ann turned 4 weeks on Sunday. She'll officially be one month old tomorrow. I can't believe how quickly time goes by with the second one. For her 4th week, she's starting to smile. I haven't been able to capture it on film yet, but I will post as soon as I do. She's also sleeping 5-7 hours the first stretch of the night so that is helping. Georgia still refuses to nap in her crib though, so we spend lots of time cuddling during the day.

This week we spent the first half recovering from the wild wedding weekend. Here is a picture of the two of us trying very hard to recover :)
Once we caught up on our sleep, we then turned toward our new moving adventure (and, oh what an adventure it has turned into!!). Georgia has been a HUGE help with the packing and was treated to her first Astro's game. Sara skipped out and went to the beach with Paw-Paw.

Here are a couple of more from our week....

Napping on mommy, as usual.

Wakes up with a fierce hunger.

Good thing Daddy is around to feed her.

And, I just love her expression in this last one!

Week 3 - a little behind

This past week or so has been CRAZY around here. Very busy for a 3 week old. Georiga started out with a visit to the doctor. It was her wellness visit and they took stats. She weighs 9 lbs 6 oz (finally caught up to Sara's birth weight!) and 23.5" long. I think that put her in the 95 percentile for height. She still has the thrush and they switched us to a stronger medicine so hopefully it will clear up soon.

In the 3rd week, Georgia also got her first bath. Daddy gave it to her while Mommy took many, many pictures to celebrate the moment. Georgia was not a big fan.

Georgia and Sara also experienced their first airplane flight across the country. What jet setters. We all flew up to Minnesota to see Auntie Alicia and Uncle Craig (loveling called Uncle Hoser) get married! Alicia made for a beautiful bride.

The girls did great on the flight up there but it all quickly went downhill with the hectic weekend, lack of sleep and no schedule that they are use to. The good news is that we made it out alive and are slowly recovering. Here are some of the very few pictures I was able to capture while in MN.

Last but not least, I'll leave you with an adorable shot of Sara enjoying her THIRD popsicle at Paw-Paw's house.

Georgia is 2 weeks old!

Georgia turned 14 days old yesterday. To celebrate, she shed her umbilical cord stump. Check out her adorable belly button!

This last week she mostly chilled out with Mommy. She did experience a few firsts:

1. First trip out to eat - Lupe's Tortilla's for Mommy's birthday
2. First trip to Target!
3. First overnight trip at Granny's house. - Sara and Georgia stayed the night at Granny's house so Mommy and Daddy could travel to Austin for Daddy's graduation. They were both angels, so we were told.
4. First trip to the doctor's :-( - Georgia has thrush. The doctor said it is common in newborns and gave us some medicine to treat it. Hopefully she is all better before the wedding. Poor girl!

Enjoy the new pictures :-)

Sara loving on her little sister.

2 week photo shoot fail. Georgia was not in the mood!
