Ma-ma

I just want it down in the record that Georgia said "Ma-ma" first (well, it really sounds like "ma ma ma ma ma ma" - but I count it!). When babies start babbling, they usually start with da da da da (as Sara did). But, Georgia bucked the trend. I wanted to mark this down because Georgia learned to say da da yesterday and now its her favorite word because it is so new. So, if that's all you hear on Saturday, I want everyone to know that she was saying ma ma ma ma for a long while now :)

And, here are a few of her cute booty (all mom's should have blackmail pictures!):

Please let me know which one is your favorite. I'd like to include one in my portfolio, if there is one that is good enough. She's too cute to leave out :)

Roar!

Sara is really really really into three things right now:

1. Dressing up! We live in a sea of scattered clothes, jewelery and high heels
2. Dinosaurs! She LOVES them and it makes her Daddy so proud :)
3. Taking pictures! We have to keep the camera hidden, else she tries to grab it so she can take her own pictures.

So, since it was a rainy day, mommy decided to combine all of her favorite activities. I dug out a dinosaur costume Nana Jan got Sara at a garage sale and pulled out the camera. I even let Sara click a few times. She loved it.

She loves this costume and has worn it non-stop since last night. She pretends that she is "Snozy" (a dinosaur she got to meet at the library) and I am "Sara". Anyway, thought y'all would enjoy a quick update and a few pictures : )

Georgia learned a new trick!!

Just in time for her 6 month birthday, Georgia decided to sit up! And, she loves it. She can all sit alone for up to 20 minutes at a time and is getting more steady every day! She's also started eating solids at lunch time and has decided formula is for the birds (we still manage to get 24 oz. down but she doesn't enjoy it). Other than that, she's babbling up a storm, playing with Sara and just growing into an adorable little girl. I can't believe its already been 6 months.

Also - check out this picture of Alicia.....

looks a lot like Georgia, doesn't it? :)

Happy Birthday, babe!

Chad turned the big 3-0 today. We celebrated as a family by making his favorite "happy cake" (as Sara calls it). Sara picked out Chad's birthday present. She was really insitent that he wanted a Barbie doll. I would tell her "I don't think Daddy wants that" and she would say "Oh, OK", go put it back and then grab a different Barbie. It was pretty cute. She finally settled on a set of play-doh.

This afternoon Granny, Pa-paw and Uncle KK (with his girlfriend) came by for "happy cake" and ice-cream. Everyone sang happy birthday and Sara helped Daddy blow out the candles (he needed help since he has so many, now!). It was a good birthday!
