Trick or Treat!!

We kicked off our halloween with a visit to our neighborhood costume contest. Everyone knew who Sara and Georgia were and thought they're costumes were adorable. But, they didn't win (they were robbed!) because Georgia overacted by casting an evil spell on the judges. (Tinkerbell won.)

 

We then hit the streets for trick or treating after doing a few practice sessions at home. Sara was all 'gong-ho' (or is it gon-ho'?) about trick or treating until she met her first goblin at the second house. After that she still wanted to trick or treat but demanded to be held the entire time.

 

 

 

 

We all came home to a full bag of candy. Yummy! We can't wait to do it again next year! (Sara suffered from a massive sugar crash and ruined our plans for partying it up at Michele's Monster Bash - boo!!)

Pumpkin Carving

Happy Halloween everyone! Sara had a blast and I'll be posting pictures of her trick 'o treating later. But, for now - here she is helping Daddy carve the jack o' lantern. While Daddy carved, Sara kept busy painting her mini-pumpkin.

 

 

Then Daddy cut open the top of the pumpkin...

 

And, Sara wanted to peer inside...

She helped Daddy scoop all the seeds out. Sara had lots of fun squishing the innards around with her fingers.

 

 

Georgia wanted to feel with her toes. Silly baby!

Daddy finished carving the face while the girls took a bath.

 

And, then they came downstairs just in time to light him up! Spooky!!

 

Sara's 2 year stats

We just got home from Sara's 2 year appointment. She is meeting all of her milestones and the doctor was very impressed that she is potty trained. Yay Sara! She did ask if strangers (or extended family members) could understand at least 50% of what Sara says. I wasn't sure. Can you understand most of what she says? (I can understand at least 90% but I think that's normal for a mom).

Sara also had to get two shots. She did great and only cried for a brief second. If you ask her about them she says "I got a shot and it hurt and I say 'ow' and I get band-aid. I am brave". It's pretty cute.

For her stats:

Height: 37.25" (longer than the tape measure they use, lol) - 99th percentile
Head: can't remember the exact measurements but it also put her in the 99th percentile
Weight: 31.2 lbs - 87th percentile

The doctor said she wouldn't be surprised if Sara reached 6 ft. I never thought I'd have a daughter that tall (and I'm still not sure). We'll have to wait and see :)

Tshirt Dress #1

So, I sewed two of these but Sara's only modeled one. The other is similar but made out of Texas shirts - perfect for when she grows out of her cheerleading outfit. These are so easy to make so I have plans to make many more. Thanks for all the donations!

BEST.WIFE.EVER

I'm awarding myself the Best Wife Ever award today and hopefully Chad will agree. I just dropped him off at the airport for his Las Vegas Surprise Mancation. Four of his friends are meeting him out there and I think they'll all have a great time :) I've been planning this for months and it was awesome to see him all excited when I finially let him in on the big suprise. Unfortanetely, I did NOT bring my camera along to capture his surprised/thrilled expression. Boo! Anyway, hope you have fun, honey! See you on Sunday.
